Sertraline-my miracle

Hi,

I started Sertraline 4 months ago and like most, I had the worst side effects imaginable! Don't want to speak too soon but it has truly cured me which I thought was impossible. I suffered with awful insomnia. Sometimes nit sleeping at all for 2-3 days straight. I NOW SLEEP! due to reduced anxiety. I don't have panic attacks anymore and am loving life. I never ever upped my dose and have remained at a low 50mg. I Want to reassure everyone that is hesitant or worried about Sertraline. It takes time to work but works. My doc calls it her happy pill. If you are reading all the posts you can find like I was then hopefully this one will be the one that makes you feel hopeful. I am more than happy to answer any questions and wish you all well on your journey xxx

Great to hear. We need more positive experiences like this. So helpful to hear perseverence pays off. A lot of people struggle with side effects and give up before the medication has had a chance to help you. It's easier said than done but experiences like above give people hope which is an enabler for positive thinking and hopeful recovery

Agree with Jon. It's a slow-acting drug but it does eventually work! How long did it take for you to feel 100% better?

i got better fairly quickly...3-4 weeks but i relapsed at lower doses and probably panicked and went up dosages too quickly. I was in 200mg for 16 years symptom free and happy until it pooped out recently 😦
