Sertraline - positive feelings

I just want to check with anyone when the positive emotions return after being on this drug, please? I am just reaching week 4 and have been on 100 mg for a week.

I have noticed marginal improvements this week on anxiety, appetite and sleep, but feel no joy or interest as yet.

I was on paroxetine for over 20 years before this and I felt good most of the time, apart from a few months of the year when I was triggered. I am wondering now if I did the right thing by changing!

    Hello Avril, this drug is a slow acting one. They say it can take up to 6to8 weeks. For me it was indeed 7 weeks for it. I did have improvement in sleep within 3 or 4 weeks if I'm remembering right. I am starting week 19 now. I feel really good but an occasional anxiety when stressed out to much but I'm starting on 75 now. Hope this helps.

    It's so varied. On 100mg I had one week of crap followed by an awesome week which slowly declined into crap again. Since then I did 3 weeks on 125mg and just upped to 150mg a few days ago because of the decline into crap while at 125mg. The therapeutic dose of this drug is 150-200mg.
