Sertraline positive views

I’ve just started Sertraline for three days.I’ve tooken a few Antidepressent in the past. I was wondering if somebody could give me some positive advice on them. Lots of people on the forum seem to give negative views concerning the use of Sertraline. Also can you loose weight while taking them.

Would much appreciate people’s views.

I was on 50mg for 4 weeks, never again. Panic attacks, anxiety, heart palpitations were the side effects which I had.

Zoloft (sertraline) is a type of antidepressant known as a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI). ... The most common side effects with Zoloft include dry mouth, insomnia, sexual side effects, diarrhea, nausea, and sleepiness. Weight increase and appetite increase are also among the possible side effects.

I’ve been on sertraline 50 mg for then increase to 100mg coming up to about 8 weeks in total I’m only starting to see some improvements now. It’s known for being slow acting to work , I was very nauseated for around 2 weeks and vomited from time to time too. I found I had no major appetite and I felt too sick to eat in lost weight . Getting appetite back now

I was put on Sertraline (50mg then 100 after 3 months) around 6 months ago and was incredibly apprehensive about them. However, I can honestly say they have been a life saver for me. I am so much calmer now and able to deal with stressful situations a lot better than I used to. They take a few weeks to start working and you might feel worse at first before you feel better but give them a chance to kick in before deciding if you want to stop them or not.
