everyone keeps telling me that sertraline is a really slow working SSRI so the side effects tend to stick around a little longer than other meds. sounds like it should pass by the time you reach about 12 weeks on the same dose x

how have you found its helped Anxiety/depression? x

sounds like you're having a rough time still.

I'm week 5 on 50mg and feel terrible if I'm honest.

      weak legs and sore muscles.

really high anxiety and depression is bad.

cant stop shaking and feel really jittery x

fast heart rate and just feel like 💩

hopefully you turn a corner soon as I've seen that a lot of people still struggled weeks ahead of you and are a lot better now x

how was the increase to 100mg? dont know if I should increase or not x

Potato what dose of celexa worked for you I can't remember? I'm going to guess that at the 5 weeks you should feel some type of relief if only a little and if you don't I would definitely talk to your doctor about possibly increasing a little. 50mg is still a very low dose.

      Best Wishes!

hey grounded I was on 20mg of citalopram and it worked really well.

I spoke to my gp today and he said he thinks I should increase to 100mg as he said the same that 50mg is pretty low.

everyone says not too and wait atleast 12 weeks.

I'm getting desperate to feel some relief now as its 9 months in of this horrible episode of depress/Anxiety

Citlapram only goes up to 30mg

and Sert goes up to 200mg.

They are both SSRIs so I was wondering how the strengths equate.

I know Sert works better for me.

      Everyone is different.

Dr told me, one med might work for one person but another person cant tolerate.

      Brain very complicated.

Anyway, no negativity on here, we will all get better with what suits each person.

      GOOD LUCK EVERYONE

I was taking that celexa for 9 months and I can totally sympathize with you. Don't lose hope. If you're feeling worse then the whole reason that you're taking the zoloft then it is possible that it just isn't for you, not to get you discouraged but I don't want to see you waste any more time. You should decide for yourself what feels like it would be best, you know your body and mind better then anyone. If you truly feel worse on the zoloft then before I would talk to your doctor about possibly switching, I think I replied to another post of yours earlier to talk to your doctor about lexapro, similar to celexa it may just be the right one! 😃

    hi Sandra.

Iv been on Sert 100mg for nearly a year. I often get like a pip pip sound in my ear and I get up to see if the cooker timer is on. I

just say to myself don't worry just a bit of tinnatus, especially if I'm a bit worried.

I also find Sert lifts a low mood and is a lot lot better than Citlapram which I had before. But it has not completely cured the anxiety / panic sensations and its those feelings that cause head aches etc.

Also take ages to go to sleep and wake up early.Im

Having Hypnoises at the moment, trying everything going.

But Im still better on 100mg Sert than I was without it.

so my advice is if the problems you had were worse than the side effects you got now. then soldier on with Serts, hopefully we can both recover in time or at least manage things.

    wishing good luck.
