Hi there. Yes it does go. I had the same when I started Sertaline. Stick with it as there is a huge light at the end of the tunnel. I was on 75 up until 2 weeks ago but have gone to 100 as my aniety was creeping back. So when you increase you get side effects again. It's a great drug and for me, has changed my life. Stick with it

Please please help. My doctor prescribed sertraline 50mg for anxiety. The day after I took them I had this really loud ringing in my ears. Plus my anxiety was worse and I felt so ill. The doctor told me after 4 days to stop the tablets because the ringing was driving me mad. It’s been a week since I stopped and the ringing hasn’t stopped. Please please please does it stop and when???

Can four tablets really have such a bad effect on me?

Hi Kerry53564, Has the hissing in your ears stopped?  I see you only took Sertroline for 4 days, and posted this 4 months ago.... I am taking 25mgs, reducing from 50mg due to the hissing in my ears.  I am scared the hissing won’t stop....

    Hi Kellyfreddie7

How are you? I was shocked  to read the dramatic impact on you when you swapped to Sertroline.  Are you still experiencing the symptoms you mentioned? Or have they subsided?  I am taking 50mg Sertroline but have reduced it to 25mg as the hissing in my ears is driving me nuts and I’d like to come off it altogether but worried about my anxiety returning.  Hence reducing it slowly....
