Sertraline setback: Help!

Hi all,
Today is my 24th day on sertraline. The first 2 weeks were really difficult with increased anxiety and zero appetite. Fortunately my sleep hasn't been affected at all. On day 17 I started feeling decreased anxiety and my mood lifted. Days 18-21 were fantastic. No more racing thoughts. I felt positive and optimistic again. It was a complete turnaround. However since day 22 I have been feeling anxious and low again. 8t is not as bad as the first 2 weeks, but I'm worried that the sertraline seemed to work and now it isn't.
Has anyone had a similar experience?
Thanks

Amanda,
I don't have any answers-- but I'm in the same boat. First 10 days were awful and since then, minus a day or two, I've been great. Some days even totally anxiety free!
I am on day 22 now and the last two days I have been anxious. Not nearly as bad as the first 10 days-I would actually describe it as manageable. BUT I noticed that it has discouraged me tremendously. I feel it's like a set back and it makes those thoughts race... I'm sure you know what I mean.
Anyway, others have suggested that there is an ebb and flow of side effects when getting on the medication for a full 4-6 weeks. So, I think what we are experiencing is totally normal! Let's hang in there! Feel free to message me if you want!

What dosage are you on? I personally think they are good for a very short term fix, but I'm feeling worse on them after 6 months!

Im about 10 weeks in and feel exactly the same. Im on 50mg and have tried thr mini and combination pills as symptoms r worse when i hit my period. At present when i exercise i feel like my heart is missing a beat which increases my anxiety. Im going to docs again on friday as i think i want to up the tablets. Im sick of feeling this way but like u described not as bad as the beginning but its still there.
