I have been on Sertraline for about 10 weeks now. Night sweats are killing me I feel totally disgusting. However the main side effect that concerns me is the inability to orgasm. My libido is great but I just can't reach the end result. This is affecting my husbands self esteem more than myself. I just wondered if given time these side effects will wear off?

hi, have you tried any other antidepressants?
if a certain side effect is really troublesome such as the night sweats, perhaps try switching to a smiilar med and you might not get that side effect anymore with the new med (for example, instead of sertraline you could switch to a popular similar med called 'escitalopram'

Most antidepressants zap your libido. I was on three of them all with the same side effects, sweating, lethargic, no sex drive. It's a common side affect.

Hi I tried to change meds last month but the GP felt it would be better to increase the dose. Now I'm on the maximum dose and don't fancy having to change again. However I will discuss this at my next appointment xx

Hi yes I've been on a few antidepressants now but over time the side effects have eased off. I was hoping Sertraline would be the same 😢
