Sertraline side effects

Hi, I have been taking 200mg of sertraline for 5 days now. Today has been the worst day. One of the side effects I am having is a burning pain between my shoulder blades! Has anybody else experienced this?

I took my first dose of 100 mg last night and woke up at 5:30 am not feeling right, then I got this nervous tightening feeling in my forehead, which led to my whole body feeling like it was on fire! I also got super nauseous. The burning has mostly gone away and the nausea isn't so acute, but now I just feel incredibly spaced out and dizzy. That was my first try at Sertraline and I think it will probably be my last! I'll figure out another way to deal with anxiety... From what I'm reading 100 mg is a high dosage to start out on with no experience with taking anxiety meds before. I just feel way worse now, so I feel like I've taken 2 big steps back. 😫

Try not to be disheartened, you've started on a high dose. I would definitely take a lower dose if you start again. You will experience side effects as it gets worse before it gets better. I have been on sertaline a few years ago and it helped me, its just a long process xx

Hi Sally, don't know if it's exactly the same, but yes, I have lots of pain in the neck and shoulder area. Like stiffness.
