Sertraline side effects after 11 weeks please help

Posted , 5 users are following.

I was prescribed 50mg sertraline 11 weeks ago for depression. Gradually I have got worse, I wake up with terrible anxiety and nervousness, my hands and legs shake, I'm sweating, feeling sick and have lost a stone in weight. I am desperate to start feeling better. My doc wants me to stick with it but I'm getting worse not better. Any advice greatly appreciated.

Sharon...The same thing is happening to me!   I have only been on it for almost 3 weeks but I wake up nauseous every day, I am shakey and have barely eaten anything.   I don't want to do anything !  I am really sick of feeling this way also.   I hope someone can give us some direction.

Hi Sharon; I've also been on 50mg but in my case for 13 weeks. I also lost plenty of weight and my appetite was gone for the first 6-7 weeks then it came back. Also during that time I felt I didn't wanna do and jus wanted to stay home.

Things are different now my appetite is back and I have more desire to do things even though is not 100% back.

I am sticking with it for another month, either I withdraw if things don't get better or probably my ph will increase dosage. Everyone one is different but try to stick a little longer with it. Good luck!!!!

As far as I know, not necessarهly any kind of narve drug would match with each patiثnt, You have to go back to your doctor, telling him about your conditions enabling him to look for the match drug. One drug may have the positive effect on a person and the same drug may not have the right effect on another person.

      Best regards

    Hi Sharon,

how are you doing now? I have had the same reaction I'm on week 6/7 the doctor has insisted that this is normal and I need to go through it, she has recommended 3 Valium a day to get through this bit.

    did you stay on it?
