Sertraline - side effects - will they pass?

Posted , 5 users are following.

I have muscular weakness, dry funny tasting mouth, occasional pounding heart for no reason , nausea etc

I work so the weakness in the morning is my main concern , will it pass ? Found it hard to get up today

Been on it for ten days 50mg to help prevent / reduce panic episodes thinking of dropping to 25 as my gp said 50 but 25 is entry level for panic and he thought I was depressed - no I was down due to the panic , chicken and egg

Any thoughts gratefully received

Hi yes the side effects will get easier, just have to ride with it at first, I would stick with the 50mg it won't last and will become easier

    Hi rich1763,

As with any medication, there will be some side effects. Some of them do wear off eventually, but it depends on ur body and how you cope with them. The only side effect I seem to notice with them is I'm always tired. Hope this helps! 😊
