Hi iv been on sertraline since first week in jan iv had enough .. My night sweats are horrendous I wake up soaked during night I have to have shower and change bed EVERY NIGHT! This is not helping my depression or anxiety it's adding to it , I was on citalopram for quite a few years and suffered the same problem although not to same extent ( 3-4 times a week of sweats ) so after speaking to my dr I'm now going on to fluoxetine see if this helps , there must be something out there that doesn't have side effect of night sweats I'm sure ! I wish you

all luck smile

It's definitely worth trying a different SSRI, although it's no fun to keep switching is it! You may respond differently to fluoxetine, so give it a go. Do you use a roll on like Driclor at night, it's good. Best of luck!

    Hi,

I've been on sertraline for a year. The night sweats are horrendous!

I have to see my doc tomorrow, she knows about the sweats, but hasnt offered an alternative med.

She sent me for scans and a chest xray, all ok.

Should I ask for a different drug do you think?
