Sertraline withdrawal

Hi I'm new to this group. I have been on sertraline for a number of years now for migrains, my doctor advised me to come of them slowly so I started to reduce from 100mg a day to 100mg then 50mg a day for 1 week then 50mg every day for the 2nd week then 50mg every other day for the 3rd week then 50mg every 2nd day. I took my last 50mg dose Tuesday last week but am having dizzy spells and light headedness, tried ringing doctors without success so any advice regarding this would be appreciated. Thank you.

Lynn, I think you are getting off too quickly. It's good to taper off much more slowly and the side effects won't be so bad. I would decreased to 75mg for 1 weeks, 50mg for 1 month and then 25mg for another month. But these side effects are normal. Take care.
