Sertraline withdrawal from hell

I was prescribed sertraline 50mg 3 years ago, within a couple of months I was on 150mg everyday. I cut down over a period of time and experienced the "classic" withdrawals... Mood changes, anger, brain fog and those awful electric zaps. I battled through them and thought I was OK. The past 4-5 weeks I've been feeling unwell on and off which was manageable but what I've experienced over the past 3 days is terrifying...

Panic attacks, headaches, exhausted, insomnia, pins and needles in hands, arms, legs, painful aching joints and muscles, restless legs, backache, high pitch ringing in ears, dizziness, jaw and neck pain, very little taste and smell, skin feels like its on fire, chills, my whole body shaking uncontrollably, heavy pressure on my chest, breathless, heart palpitations, Constantly feeling/being sick, diarrhea, no concentration, hearing/seeing things not there, my brain feels like it's been shook.

Unfortunately I couldn't take anymore and out of total fear and defeat sertraline won. I swallowed a 20mg tablet and within a few hours I literally felt it devouring every symptom throughout my body and the relief I felt was incredible but short term. My symptoms have started creeping back within 12 hours and I'm currently waiting for them to ease.

Believe me when I say there is no quick fix coming off sertraline you will suffer for days, weeks, months or possibly years on and off and the only way to avoid the withdrawal is by taking another.

Absolutely dreading it!
