Hi everyone i have just started sertraline 50mg and since last two month having joints and muscle pain. the pain in in ribs, shoulder joints, arms, finger tips and leg muscle. i do also get stomach pain its not that bad and doesnt disturb my sleep but comes on and off again through out the day. anyone had this type of side effect?

I don't know if it's pure coincidence or what, but I've been on sertraline for a few months now and every symptom you describe is exactly what I've experienced. nothing excruciating, but a consistent nagging ache on my right side at the base of my ribs. also in my back kinda between my shoulder blades. just a feeling of pressure almost. the leg pain hits me in the calf. feels like a Charlie horse almost. as if I ran into the corner of a table or something.
these symptoms get to me and counteract the whole point of the medicine sometimes. gets my anxiety racing

Thank you mine is on right side too. how long it lasted for you? im supposed to do increase it to 100.

it still gets tender from time to time. just weird little sensations all over. my doctor wants to switch me to escitalopram and see how that goes to try to ease some of the side effects. I couldn't do 100mg of sertraline. Gave me horrendous heart burn.

yes i must see my GP too go stomach pain too.
