It sounds like kidney stones or urine/renal infection to me.

Don't mess about, just go to your doctor and he/she will send you for tests.

If you don't do anything about it and it does relate to stones or an infection the condition could become more serious and a lot more painful.

You need to do something about it NOW.

    Hello Ruth

If it's stones they can be broken down with ultrasound. It's a treatment that my friend had so I trust it will work for you. Remember we all go through some crisis with our health but it doesn't last. I've had my share. Yesterday I laser eye treatment to prevent glaucoma, it was quick and painless, thank God.

Sometimes I don't think the doctor listens, she said it could be a slipped disc and I've told her I've done nothing to get that, I don't think she has a clue what she was going on about because she asked me if I jump around on trampolines rolleyes I think I will go to the hospital now because when I collapsed I just couldn't stop crying because it hurt so much, I've had appendicitis and the pain was worse then that x

Ruth you are right, doctors don't like patients telling them what's wrong, they have big egos. A slipped disc can be very painful. I had spinal decompression a few years ago and it bought relief to my back. Has anyone checked your spine for alignment ?

No, I wish I never went to the doctor I went to because everyone try's to avoid her because she just doesn't pay proper attention to her patients...atm my pain is dull and constantly there, I havnt had another awful back breaking collapsing episode again (yet) only a matter if time, the tramdol don't work if I'm honest, they ease it but that's all, I phoned the nhs help line and the woman said it could also be some kind of refered pain, I tryed to go to the walk in centre but the wait was 2 hours because it's Easter and it was completely packed, there was Noway I was sittin there...I'm just going to go to the hospital and put my foot down and demand to given a proper examination and a full scan

Go to the doctors believe what she says. I had no reason to get a slipped disc just woke up with it one morning a hazard for tall people so my doctor said. If you want to become incontinent or suffer with sciatica for the rest of your life just ignore the pain.
