Service dog died , (daughter' s)

my daughters retired service dog  king, died.  He had 4 health conditions. One became a crisis and was untreatable.  He was 13 years.  The current service dog for my daughter was there with us. He tried to  wake king. Milo pulled on kings ear and barked really loudly.  .

Milo is the fifth service dog my daughter has .  Milo  tells her in advance of a ... so she will lie down and not fall and hit her head. He also helps her by interrupting PTSD that she has.  He stops it and comforts her after.  Milo also helps comfort her with anxiety.

Milo was taught by king  to detect seizure in advance. By Milo copying king.  This has happened 5 times older dog role model to younger. And younger having interest in copying older.  Daughter is 29 years old.

We miss king king so much. When a dog goes it is just so hard. Many religious leaders including Billy Graham and the Pope believe pets go to heaven, comforts me.

Dogs are such beautiful spirit animals. The love and comfort they give to us is a gift beyond explanation. I am so sorry for your family's loss. I hope your memories will comfort you. 🕊

Thank you for your sympathy. I am awash in memories.  I put down two dog bowls then remembered. Of gosh .

My daughters other service dog , Milo , walks around the house carrying the passed on dogs collar in his mouth. Then he lies down on it and sighs until he falls asleep.  Milo " buries " the collar under Milos mat.

So, we are all adjusting .  I like the phrase spirit animals. Thanks
