Setraline headaches and anxiety!

Hey guys I’m approaching just over 8 weeks on the meds now. I started at 25 for a week, then 50 for 3 weeks, then I did a week at 75 and a week at 100. My anxiety got terrrrrrrible so I went back to 50 and started feeling better. It’s been 2 and a half weeks now and every evening I start getting these weird sinus headaches, shaking, and just feeling out of it. I’m still having diarrhea. I’ve been trying to get into the doctor but it’ll still be another 4 days before they see me. The doctor said I can stop taking these and they will find me something else but I’m nervous about something else not working and going through the medication roulette. I was 8 hrs late taking the tablet and I felt the depression coming back so I really don’t want to go days without. I just don’t know what to do. If I knew that these side effects would go away I would persevere but it’s starting to feel like they won’t. The doctor said I shouldn’t still be having effects like this. I took this medication for 6 years before and it was never like this!

    I'm not a doctor or even anything close to one, but it sounds like ur bouncing around too much on meds. I was put on 50 for 3 months then went to 75 and now 100. Each time i would increase i would have affects from it. Each person is different and its possible that u can't take these but if you decide too keep taking them until doc appt i would stick to the one that seems to help alittle and also take at same time each day. Eat something when you take it. Hope this helps.

      yeah I think if I had just stayed at 75 things might have turned out different but trying to go to 100 so fast wasn’t a good plan. It’s insane to me the amount of people dealing with these same issues and struggling, everyone is medicated anymore it seems. I wish it didn’t have to be this way but for the majority of my adult life I have been.

    Not sure this med agrees with you. I came down from 50mg Sertraline having had diarrhoea for 4 weeks. Now on 25mg my diarrhoea is much less but I still have shaking and a full head feeling. I am planning to come off this med. how long have you had diarrhoea?

      Off and on for the whole two months I’ve been on this medicine. I took it before for 6 years but I just don’t know what to do now!!!

    Going down from 100mg was a mistake. You had good results before and you will again if you just ride it out. Yeah it isn't easy, but it works if you persevere. You've changed since the last time you were on it. You know more and you expect quicker results. Stick with it and you'll get there.
