Setraline working wonders for depression but not Anxiety?

Setraline is the first SSRI i've taken, I'm on 25mg daily and I've noticed a great improve in my moods. A-lot more happy thoughts and positive thought process. I used to take it before sleep so maybe 11pm -12am.

I became an extremly light sleeper to the point if a car drove past I would wake up. This meant that I went from sleeping 12am-12pm to waking early like a normal person(good-ish)

I didnt take it one night and I slept all day so I've changed to taking it earlier in the evening so I can sleep in(Especially as I work nights)

It has had NO effect on my anxiety, I'm still having worry attacks.

Has it helped anyone else with anixety? I've been on it for 3 weeks now.

3 weeks is still early days unfortunately, im on 50mg for 4 weeks and slightly better seeing some great days now but normally takes 6-8 weeks to full effect. Im thinking of upping my dose to 100mg at the 6 weeks mark. Maybe you should think about upping to 50 in a few weeks if still not even a slight reduction in anxiety or thoughts. I was amazing yesterday but today been nervous so take it a day at a time

So, I have taken 50mg for 6 months.  I was very depressed dealing with some big personal issues and was crying at the drop of the hat and lashing out at work.  The 50mg was awesome at leveling out my sadness.  It helped so much in getting me back into a level perspective as well as being much less reactive at work.  I felt I was doing so well, that I decided it was time to get off.  Very hard getting off this med........I didn't mind having emotions again, but the lashing out and anxiety got worse again.  Probably due to difficulty coming off the med, which is a bit disturbing to me as a clinician, but decided after 1 week that I'd go back to 25mg.  We'll see.  It's so hard, but it's great to have a place to discuss with all of you.  Thanks so much for your imput!!!  Hang tough, tanyalion and scott8888!
