Severe anxiety

so where do i start.. i had severe health anxiety when i was 16 which dissappeared and now it is back with a boom. The symptoms i get are so hard for me to believe is anxiety related. Right now ive been awake since 3am going out my mind ans convinced im going to have a seizure or a cardiac arrest!!! Symptoms im experiencing are currently dizziness, exhaustion, restless legs, clenched jaw, mega hot, eyes feel funny (like they're gonna roll back) extremely weak arms (more so my left) fluttery heart and feeling so surreal and confused.

My sister had a seizure last week randomly which caused a significant head trauma and then 36 a football hit me on side of face ans head so now im convinced im going to die! I feel so scared and alone. Like im convinced im going to die at any moment.

Other symptoms i have experienced are swaying, light headed, dropping feeling, feeling surreal, weak, fast heart, sickness and nausea and lots more.

i have anxiety and i've had all of these symptoms! They have never harmed me and always mainly at night too. Sometimes i wake up out my sleep with my heart racing, dizzy and shaking but its all just anxiety. Its scary but its not going to hurt you. I hope you feel better soon x

wow isn't it crazy how you can not know someone but share exactly the same experience and symptoms! Just goes to show its anxiety. It's really sad we feel like this when were healthy. I took myself to a medical centre yesterday whilst on holiday it was that bad. I wish a cure for all of us. ❤ The symptoms i get are so bloody weird. Even to tingling in my head !! x

While I'm not a health professional, the symptoms you listed sound very similar to what I experience during panic attacks (I get hot flashes, my limbs go numb, I can't move or think if they get too bad and such). What helps me is drinking some cold water or even touching cold things, breathing exercises. If you find that you can't do anything, let yourself just ride it out, it'll feel like s**t and you'll feel very tired after, but you're not going to die and you're not alone in this ❤️

Thankyou for replying!! You're comment means so much and its so nice to hear that im not alone. I think because my sister endured what she did last week unexpectidly its set me back so much. However she is home now and on the road to recovery even after multiple seizures and a bleed to the brain! Sometimes i can really rationalise with myself and then sometimes its like i talk myself into it! So so weird! x

      Laura,

I am just like you, although i know my symptoms are caused by anxiety, sometimes i talk myself into thinking "what if it's not anxiety" . i know its so hard to rationalize with ourselves, especially when our anxiety is very high, but we have to have faith in ourselves, we can do it!
