I'm so sorry to hear how you're suffering. Has your doctor arranged a scan? I would ask for one if you're not improving and your painkillers aren't working. Good luck D

    Hi Christine

I'm sorry to hear this. Have you been to your GP?

Your symptoms sound like mine before I had surgery. A awful pain in my lower back which traveled down my left leg.

It was a herniated disc L5-s1

Plead with you doctor that pain relieve isn't working and you need help asap!

I had mine for years om and off and I wish I had it sorted earlyly.

For me I found a tens machine and physio relived the pain.

Thank you for your reply I to am hoping that I get to see someone soon as as the pain is affecting my whole body not as severe as the main pain point but it has begun to restrict movements and it's making it very hard for me to climb the stairs at work as my office is on the first floor, my problem is not helped by suffering guilds me barre a few years ago which has left me with numb ness and tingling in arms and legs and now I'm not sure if this is aggravated by my new health issues even taking breathes can be painful as is coughing sneezing I have to say this is beginning to get me down

Yep, sounds like you injured a disc . Probably herniated . An mri can show the injury . You have to be very pushy or else they will just send you home with pills .

Thanks to the relpies I have received I am now waiting to see an orthopedist doctor I have to say all I know is it is very painful no matter which way I move and even wen I cough or sneeze although the pain is not as extreme in my higher back I do get pain wen trying to lift anything and over the past few days a niggling pain as begun across my shoulder blades I have had to look at taking a day or two off work as I am finding hard to climb stairs as my office is on the first floor I just hope that it is sorted out as it makes it hard not to want to spend the day crying in pain as the morphine I am on only gives me a short period of pain relief
