Severe globus sensation & thyroidectomy

I've had severe globus since my total thyroidectomy last July. Nothing I've tried has helped. I've been to specialists, even at Yale, and no one has been able to help me. I feel so overwhelmed by this condition, it's overtaking my life. I was told it was acid reflux and prescribed meds for that. That didn't help! Then it was allergies and post nasal drip. Meds for that, didn't do a darn thing to alleviate the symptoms. Last thing I've tried were muscle relaxers and anxiety meds. They seemed to be working at first, but that turned out to be a wash. I'm at my wits end!

Simba2156 Please know you are not alone. What I'm confused about if our Dr's want to call this Acid Reflux n allergies n turns into Globose, WHY the heck are Dr's allowing people who already have acid reflux n allergies to have a Tonsillectomy because I had no issues like this before except a very mild feeling there's something in my throat. I left my ENT Dr office crying because basically he said there's nothing else that can be done. So I've done a lot of searching on line n I'm got a appointment with my GI Dr. I watched videos on YouTube of people having surgery for this. I had my Tonsillectomy in oct. Hope all gets better for you n Everyone that's dealing with this.

Paddyyy, in my case, there was no choice., I had thyroid cancer, but I had no idea this globus even existed nor that I would ne affected by it so badly. Some days I just so bad, I can't even function. I have run out of options at this point. I've tried everything!! Hope you will resolve your problem better than I have. Thank you for your support!
