Severe Groin Pain for Years!

Hello everyone,

I decided to reach out to see if anyone else is experiencing this sort of pain. For the past several years, I've had groin pain located on my groin over there external inguinal canal. I had a hernia surgery when I was a child to remove an inguinal hernia. When I became sexually active in my adult years, I started experiencing a pinching feeling where my external ring would be located. I saw a doctor who checked me out and said I was fine. Over the years, the pain has grown more and more severe to the point I can't have sex at times. I've seen several urologists who have all told me I was fine and shouldn't have pain. I have a double neurectomy done where they cut the ilioinguinal nerve and the genti-femoral nerve. The pain by my hip someone diminished but the pain right at the external ring did not. I haven't been able to live a normal life because of it and I'm embarrassed to be with a woman because I don't know if I'll be able to have sex. Has anyone else experienced this pain? Please help.

    Hi there,

I just read your posting and wanted to say how sad I was that you have this terrible pain. I cannot offer any medical advice, I am also a woman, but I wanted to say don't give up.

Try and find some type of specialist Dr who may be able to help. There has to be some solution to your pain. I live in constant pain from 2 inoperable hernias. I would say out of 30 days I have pain 28 of them. What I can eat is so limited as almost all foods have acid in them.

I do understand how it is to live with constant pain and to feel abnormal. One just wants to be able to feel normal, and do normal things. I just want to go into a restaurant and eat a meal, but cannot as even a mouthful of the wrong food can cause severe pain for days.

Wishing you everything of the absolute best for your future. I hope and am sure you will, find a lovely girl who will be totally understanding about your pain.

    best wishes
