Severe hair thinning diagnosed PA - Advice please

I have recently been diagnosed with PA I was sent to hospital with iron of 6 had three units of blood and it rose to 8.6 they found B12 deficiency and I had 6 injections over 12 days. I have been discharged to the GP and told to have injections 12 weekly for life. However my hair is seriously thin it used to be thick and unruly. I noticed my hairdresser messing about back combing my crown about 3 months ago but thought nothing of it then my husband mentioned it was thin to the point of seeing my scalp at the crown and it's thinned out on the length altogether. I am due bloods in 2 weeks. My HB went from 60 to 115 normal white cells and my folic acid was normal at the start. My ferritin was 378 on admission I am waiting for the latest result on that. Can anyone tell me what my B12 and iron should be to encourage hair regrowth I am told it needs to be more than "normal" I am worried that this will continue and really want to so anything possible to start the long process of regaining my hair. Any help please I can't get any ideas of level on the net and have lost faith in my GP. Many thanks

One past sufferer on another web site says about 9 months. There is probably a lot of individual variation and depends on how quickly hairs come out of the resting phase . Look up telogen and anagen about the biology of hair. Presume you also had your thyroid checked as well as they can go together.

      Hi

Thank you for the reply they tested thyroid and was normal. They said the iron went up to 11.5 following the B12 jabs.

However I am worried that being just in reach of normal range isn't enough to stimulate hair regrowth.
