SEVERE HEALTH ANIXETY - Heart problem

Hi everyone, my name is Hillary and I am 19 years old and have had severe helath anxiety for the past 5-10 years. Recently becuase college have been so stressful, I'm starting to have panic attacks everyday. My biggest worry right now is that I have an undiagnosed heart valve problem like MVP. Recently I have been super tired, depressed, heart skips or palpations, dizziness occasionly, and have shortness in breath/chest heaviness when I walk to class in the cold. I ooked up all of these synothoms and it seems to lead me to a heart vavle problem. I have had 4 EKGS ove rthe last 4 years but not one in 2016 - all coming back normal besides some small heart palpations which my doctor just said was caffine and anxiety. Do you think that they missed somthing somehow on the EKGS or that this heart valve problem just suddently came about? My heart was listened to 2 months ago becuase I had some sort of werid virus that left me extremely tired and with extreme anxiety for 5 days that the doctors had no idea what it was. So if there was something wrong, wouldn't the doctor have heard it then like a heart murmur? My biggest fear is that Im just going to put these synthoms off as just stress and suddently die because it realy was a heart problem. I don't really work out often but do walk a lot around campus. I'm not overweight either, just not in good shape. Please someone help, I'm just so tired of this I feeling like giving up everyday.

The tests on your heart would ave concentrated on all the valves of the heart. You have had many heart test and you seem to imply you would want another one sometime this year,

You can take it there is nothing wrong with your Heart, I do have a hole in my heart that was picked up in 1950 and I was not told until I had a car accident. and went through various tests them, it frightened me, that was 1976. I am now 66 years old and my heart has not been a problem.

You are young still and if you did not feel your heart beat. You could then wonder what was going on.

You are as fit as a lop, enjoy your life

Hilary you sound just like me . I have severe health anxiety at the moment and my main worry is my heart i have had several ECG but I am still convinced I have something wrong I have ectopic beats and a very high pulse rate. I spend all day every day being scared that something is wrong and that the Dr's just think it's my anxiety x

Hi Hillary I can sympathize with you if you feel you need another ECG I say go and have one to ease your mind if it comes back good then it's just anxiety 8 years ago I got sick I felt nauseous and then my heart went to 1:40 I was diagnosed with tachycardia 9 years later it started the same way but my medication is keeping my heart rate normal but I have these palpitations like they're pounding out of my chest and lots of anxiety some days it eases off and I feel pretty good some days like today it was extremely bad and I had chest pain I am going to see my heart doctor on Wednesday it is a terrible feeling but don't give up

I have miltra Valve Prolapse and it's completely harmless and can actually cause anxiety itself from the electoral elements that go to your brain. I too suffer from very bad health anxiety but I take venlafaxine to control it. So much better now. But I was diagnosed with miltra Valve Prolapse at 20 and I'm now 27. If you did have it it's not going to kill you. It will cause heart palpitations and it can cause dizziness and chest tightness which is all part of anxiety also. Even if you don't have miltra Valve Prolapse anxiety alone will cause those things. It's amazing how much the mind will play tricks on us.
