severe hip pain in both hips

In 2004 I had a 12 foot fall directly to my head which caused severe head trauma, nerve damage in my neck, herniated disk & nerve damage to my lower back. The last few months I have have severe pain in both my hips with weakness to my legs. but after my fall I used to have weakness to my legs without pain in my hips, now my legs are getting weaker day by day. I do have severe arthritis also. Can the pain in my hips be from the fall & sciatic damage or arthritis/? What kind of doctor should I see for this?

      hi bellaann,,it sounds like you have the discs compressing the nerves in your spine,you need a mri and probably surgery,dont leave it till it becomes a medical emergency because it could be to late by then

      Thank you very much.  I couldn't get an apointment til May 20th.  But I asked for a MRI before my appointment & they said wait until after the doctor sees me.
