Severe iliopsoas tedinitis sfter thr.

I am struggling with terrible iliopsoas tendinitis that hit me 3 months into my recovery. Ive had 2 second options confirming my implant is ok and not the cause. So frustrsting to still be on a cane at 7 months. Finally got a tendon sheath injection of steroids 2 days ago. Too soon to know if it will help. Has anyone had this iliopsoas tendinitis sideline them too? Did you ever get through it? Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

I had the same pain after thr. It took many months of physio and acupuncture . Finally the MRI showed tiny little tears that took over a year to heal.

I too had the same complication. And itis painful.

I also had that injection. It helped a little. But fur me the immediate caused me to yell with pain during the injection. So i didn't go back for another one.

The other symptom was unable to lift my leg up on the op side. Ihad to use s leg lifter to get into bed or car. I'm 2 and half yrs. Post op.and still have can't lift that leg while sitting.

The cure was to have a tendon release. But decided it was not worth going through another surgery.

It just might take more time to heal for you.

Is that tendon still painful for you?

Did your surgeon discuuss the tendon release?  I thought it was a fairly easy surgery in comparison to the thr.

      Thank you for your response.

Definitely easier than thr.But for me another surgery on top of the thr want worth it.

Besidesi needed to consider what complications could happen with that surgery. What effects does it have on my hip not to have that muscle working for me.

It has healed. No More pain.

Ever since the thri still have trounle lifting up

my leg while sitting. And getting into my Honda crv. And I'm 2 an half yrs post op.

My thr.was anterior. Best to you Tracy

Hi, I wasn't diagnosed but am pretty sure I had this problem in my unoperated leg before and after my surgery. It's still slightly there but it's only the rest, gentle stretching and massage I've been doing during the 10 weeks post op that have made any difference. Symptoms were intense pain on the inside of upper leg into groin, couldn't lift leg high enough to climb stairs or lift leg into car, pain when bending/straightening leg when lying down. It was very painful and hasn't helped my recovery at all as its prevented me building up my operated hip/leg ! BW Lisa.
