Severe insomnia and depersonalisation

Does anyone else have severe depersonalisation/derealisation that is constant? I also have severe trouble sleeping and get really vivid dreams/sleep hallucinations. Basically I feel like I don't exist, to the point I actually have a panic attack and think silly things like I'm stuck in a dream or maybe I'm in a coma somewhere. I feel completely disconnected from my body, even my eyesight, everything looks different and sinister and strange and I just don't feel right, lights are too bright, sounds are too loud, objects sometimes appear to shrink or get larger, and I get really odd images flashing through my mind and random memories that I can't control, makes me feel like I'm going mad. I'll look at my own hands and they won't look real or will not look light mine. Does any of that sound familiar?

I want you to know that I'm also experiencing everything you described and that you're NOT alone. It's the most horrifying feeling ever, isnt it? Before I got dpdr I used to be able to sleep for 10+ hours, now im lucky of I get 5 hours. Falling asleep is extremely difficult as well. I'll just lie awake in my bed for hours and feel to detached to relax and fall asleep, and when I do fall asleep I get the most weird vivid dreams/nightmares. I also totally get the weird thing with memories popping up, having the weirdest feel to them, also like that wasn't really my life or something. The creemy gloomy vibe over everything I totally get as well. I can watch the most innocent childrens tv show for example and even that would have a weird creepy vibe to it. Did anything traumatic happen to you or have you been through alot before this happend? Again, you're NOT alone. im a 21 year old female btw.
