the itching first started in my genital areas front and back. i would wake up several times in a night for a few days. I was recommended to take thrush capsule and cream and the itchiness is still there but not as bad as before. However, i'm now areas on my body (feet, hands, shoulder area) get really itchy and have red bumps. I woke up at night because my feet were so itchy and burning

I'm sorry you are suffering like this. I wonder whether it is anything to do with what you wash your clothes in?
It could be an allergic reaction to something. I developed a rash, years ago & after a lot of detective work & eventual patch testing, it was discovered that I am allergic to various chemicals that are commonly used in all sorts of every day products, including washing powder/gel/tabs etc & hand cream etc & shampoo.
My itching finally stopped when I was put on Prednisolone tablets for another problem.
Thinking about where your itching first started, might suggest shower gel or similar. I remember waking in the night with itchy burning feet & sitting with my feet in a bowl of freezing water - bliss!
