Severe itchy skin persisting for months, doctors can't figure out cause

Given injection of 2 strong steroids that helped alot but didn't co.olwtely stop the itch and after a week was already getting bad again even on prescription anti itch medsANA test came back positiverunning Ana panel now but with steroid in me, likely will come back negative habe skin patch test scheduled I have had excema for yearsnothing like this as far as widespread and itchiness doctor now thinks excema or hives due to allergic reaction but as to what don't know any ideas? Can't seem to post pictures or I would include rash photos

    Added a profile pic that shows one of the rashes on neck not all the rashes look like thatby the way any help would be appreciated been to dermatologists and specialistsno luck yet figuring it out severe severe itch
