I have had severe pain for 4 months. Started in left shoulder, Doctor diagnosed frozen shoulder. It then spread to right shoulder, the back of both knees, up the back of both thighs and into both hips.

I was prescribed panadene forte but it made me sick, I have been taking voltaren for pain relief, I don't have swelling but using Rapi-gel to rub into painful areas. I started to think it may have been Ross River but I haven't been bitten by a mosquito.

I have similar pain in the same areas and use an anti-inflammatory gel prescribed by the doctor.  I don't easily tolerate anti-inflammatory tablets.  Does rest help?

Ok , so muscle pain comes from tight muscles that are only instructed to move by the brain. When you have an injury or pain through posture repetitive strain to eg frozen shoulder you need to get your. Rain engaged to retrain the muscle s to lengthen . No strengthening

    No stretching

No manipulation PANDICULATION - Contract the muscle then lengthen slowly then switch off all effort and repeat.

Take a Yawn as that's a brilliant complete of Pandiculation. When arms, legs hips knees neck back whatever stop working due to tight muscles they get Sensory Motor Amnesia. Get it back through Hanna Somatic Movement , google it and find your local practitioner. Sadly I'm in the UK or I would help you. Google You tube Martha Peterson put in somatics for frozen shoulder . Hope that helps, trust me it works.....
