Severe joint pain in various places, age 21

Hi,

For a couple of years now I have been suffering from pain in my wrists, I had previously been to a doctor who said it was probably RSI from my work and prescribed ibuprofen. Over the last couple of months the pain has been getting progressively worse and I now have pains in my elbows, knees and ankles as well. I also find that I sometimes have stiffness in my joints, mainly my hands and fingers and can struggle to grip things. I have been to another doctor since who said that it is unlikely to be arthritis as I am only 21 and none of my family have it and she prescribed some naproxen but this doesn't seem to be helping. I just wondered if anyone else had experienced these symptoms and how you went about getting diagnosed?

Thanks,

April

G'day . RSI , is repettative strain injury.. Doing the same actions over and over again... If the pain is now in other joints as u suggested , I would consider more tests to be done... Do u have any other symptoms?  Such as fatigue , rash , etc.... I ask because I have SLE lupus and fibromylangia ... Both these disorders  have joint pain in addition to a heep of other side effects.... God bless.

I have a small lump on my right hand that appeared a few weeks ago but no other symptoms. I do feel overly tired lately and a little sick sometimes but I think that's a side effect of the naproxen that I've been taking recently rather than a symptom of whatever is wrong. Thanks

G'day , ok well keep your eye on your symptoms. Keep notes I find is the best way to remember things... Watch for changes in the lumpy bits... If they get bigger or start oozing or bleeding , going scaly looking... Let me know how u going ok.... Good luck , god bless.
