Hi John, I am from South Africa and here some of the hospitals and dokters cost a forune that the medical aid does not cover and I think in a way I am very scared to go, the Diagnoses was made about 3weeks ago and I am struggling to come to terms. The support forums here are basically non existant

Twana can you ring your doctor? You should be resting because you seem to have some sort of infection. I hope you have family or close friends to support you. I hope you are alright. Wish I could help. I'm in Australia so I'm very lucky.

      God bless

John, I did give my doctor a call, I am waiting for him to come back to me. I am resting yes. My family has been fantastic and my husband has been my pilaar although I can see as though as it is on me it is on him as well to cope with everything.

Thank you for your support and advise.

Twana, it sounds like a UTI (urinary tract infection) in which case you will need antibiotics as soon as possible.  The doctor should ask you to take in a urine sample for analysis to determine the type of bacteria, - depending on the result the antibiotic may need to be changed.  The Dr should also try and get your hospital appointment brought forward.  Don't delay though as if it is 'just' a UTI, it needs to be treated to prevent the risk of it reaching your kidneys.  Lots of good luck wishes.

    Hello,

Phone your renal unit.  I'm sure they will advise and fit you in straight away.
