Severe pain with vaginal prolapse

My mum is 81 and she has a uteral prolapse, stage 4. It was managable and not painful until we went to hospital for a pessarie fitting. That went wrong, the pessary had to be removed and that caused her to be incontinent and she was suffering with uti symptoms. She had to take antibiotics and it took her 3 weeks to get better. She was ok for a few days when the uti like symptoms were back and again she was incontinent. But this time she had severe pain in her groin, lower back and abdomen. I have contacted the gp and out of hour drs but all they say is to have bedrest. Mum has been doing that for a week but the pain is getting worse. Has anyone else experienced similar?

Beata, Go back to your Gp and say the pain is worse. Your mother needs attention. Which antibiotic was she given?
