Hi I had TAH plus oopheorectomy and didnt experience this post op. After 4 weeks I didn't experience anything but mild cramps when overdoing things and menopausal hot sweats. I would go to the Dr as a precaution as it sounds a bit more severe than that to put your mind at rest :-)

Thanks Tracy my incision looks great but these sharp pains are horrible ! I don't have any fever so didn't think infection but between the pain and these sweats it's a bit much ! Thanks

As you still have your ovaries I don't think you should have an increase in menopausal symptoms after. I do think you should see a Dr just to be sure doubling over in pain at 4 weeks it could be something else developing. I did have an infection post op whilst in the hospital which caused only a slight increase in temperature.

I know you do feel a bit of a nuisance, but your health is important and if it is significant you will be glad you went to get it checked out earlier!

Total hysterically causes hot flashes. Remember new you are going through menopause. As far as pelvic pain, yes. I am 8 months recovery and still have major pain. My problem is a bruised pelvic wall. So now Im having to go to vaginal physical training. Awkward! But working. Best wishes. Happy healing

      Hi Tammy

I'm still dealing with the sharp pain too very low pelvic area and all this swelling doesn't help I'm 4 weeks post but it's been a horrible road ! My dr says it's all normal in the healing as my surgery lasted 4+ hours cut hip to hip I had enlarged uterus with huge fibroids 8lb mass was not easy to remove she told us! Lots inside to heal but I really never dreamed anything like this! Hang in there girl we will get thought this slowly I'm sure!!!
