Severe rash

For approximately 6 months I have had a rash on the back of my neck, it started suddenly and using Eumovate steroid cream appeared to keep it under control, however in the last few weeks it has flared up several times and is spreading rapidly. It has now completely covered my neck front to back, has moved on to my upper and forearms as well as my eyelids and abdomen.

I have contacted the doctors who initially prescribed stronger anti-histamine tablets (these had no effect), they have since prescribed a 6 day course of 30mg steroid tablets as well as a 1 month course of 10mg Montelukast steroid tablets, after the first 3 days the 30mg steroids appeared to have cleared it up, however it slowly returned and has gotten worse ever since, the doctors are not sure what is causing this at the moment and dont believe it to be allergy related.

It is itchy from time, to time but not constantly, the heat tends to make it worse, either warm weather or a luke warm shower

If anyone is familiar with such a rash and can shed some light it would be very welcome

Many thanks

I have been using Nizoral but I am 73 yo disabled veteran and my ability to transfer to a regular shower has gotten less an less and I have been getting more bedside baths and the use the dry shampoo bags. I am hoping someone can help me find some type of dry shampoo that can help with

Hallo Larry dry shampoos are not recommended for Seborrheic dermatitis as it tends to make it worse.

Certainly looks like an allergy to something, but Steroids and anti histamines should have had some effect so puzzling. Have you had any blood tests? Thyroid function?
