Severe Side Affects from Amlodipine BESYLATE

I was given this B/P medicine about three weeks ago, and that's when my illness started. I had symptoms from severe panic/anxiety attacks to sinus arrest. I had numbness in my legs and arms, tingling sensation among other severe symptoms. I literally felt like I was dying (and really don't know how that feels) but if it feels anything like what I was feeling, I was almost there. It was only 10MG, but very posinous to my system. I have to give honor to God who lead me to read the side affects to this medicine and found that it was the culprit to my sickness. I felt like crap everyday, I didn't have enough energy to go or if I went to work, I couldn't stay. Its a shame that these doctors (that we are giving our hard earned money to) that are prescribing these types medications, don't alert you to the effects, that just goes to show its about the MONEY!!. Amlodipine should be pulled from the shelfs. Since I stopped taking this medicine which was about three days ago, although not 100%, I feel somewhat better. My doctor said it would take about a week before it completely get out my system/blood stream.

Why were you put on these meds? They have extreme sides in a lot of people. They almost crippled me. I also had the shakes from feeling cold. I would think that by now, a month later, most of the sides should be gone. I was put on them for high BP & Sotalol for Arrhythmia.
I've come to realise I'd have none of these problems if I had a higher intake of Magnesium. It along with Coenzyme Q10, Vitamin D3 & variuos others have sorted me out. I even had low level CHF, but even this is getting better day by day. it's amazing what you can find out, if you do the research. I hope this can help your case..

I'm off the Amlodipine. Been off for two weeks now & getting better all the time. The Sotalol i'll cut down slowly over two months, while my heart is strengthening with the Q10, magnesium, D3, vitamin E mixed
tocopherols.
Rosie, we are what we eat. If we cannot get it from our diets because we don't eat enough or the vitamins & minerals we need are no longer in the foods we eat, because of intensive framing: we need to supplement.
I've just looked up your condition, Mmmm. You should look into this: Pycnogenol. Also L Taurine. The latter in particular I used to calm my own arterial spasms. It has a calming effect on the sympathetic nervous system. There is a lot of data on both these supplements. Yea, Taurine has a bad name because it is associated with RedBull. Look it up and find the truth.. TC
