severe stitch

hi all,

I am experiencing severe stitches and pain in my right kidney .

it's been going on for months and is 10 out of 10 for pain.

I had 5 stones in Feb 2017 and still have an 8 mm one in my left kidney

they say cvording the most recent ct scan I don't have any in my right kidney but this severe stitch like pain comes on at any time even when at rest .

I have very much Been left with no guidance apart from ( the remaining stone -s are being monitored over time) and to drink tons of water .

I am dealing with other critical health issues and finding this just too much now ?

any thoughts please

thanks

Mike -- forget the kidney stone for a moment.  You're in severe pain...and let's say there's no stone there -- but some doctor should be responding to that.  Something is wrong...are they trying to figure it out?

      hi Nikki,

      thanks for the response.

the doctor I was seeing referred me back to my urologist last year. The urologist just said it wasnt stines causing it and just said to see him this year in march .

I will try speak to someone again and see if I get any joy.

I had a heart ct scan last Monday and whilst she was performing it I had one of the stitches and had to stop her for a while .

      it's getting ridiculous .

thanks again for the response .😀

Try and make sure you are not just referred to someone else all the time. Someone has to take responsibility for this. I presume you have seen a urologist? If not get your GP to refer you to one.  Someone told me Roinson's Lemon Barley Water is good for kidney stones worth a try.  You mention having other health issues. Maybe you do not want to talk about them at the moment and that is fine. I think the main thing is to have contact numbers for urologists secretaries and keep at them. I had to do this before eventually having my stones removed before Christmas. I saw 4 or 5 different urologists and was passed from pillar to post before one agreed to operate.

    Hope this is helpful.

Take care and keep in touch

      hi and thank you Sarah

I have been to the go on repeated occasions and was referred back to the urologist who just made another appointment for March this year

I'm currently in the walk in centre to try get help .

maybe they will chase things up or provide some sort of response ... time will tell.

      I'm not hopeful

      hi again Sarah

I was admitted yesterday and was treated well.

I had a ct scan revealing a 15/8 mm stone in my left kidney and a smaller 4mm one in the right thankfully no blockages but a bad uti causing a lot of the pain I was experiencing

I sent home with anti biotics and a follow up appointment in two months to discuss removing the main stone as it's growing reasonably fast. ( had it diagnosed with 4 others in Jan last year lol

my own gp has also been contacted regarding ongoing support and treatment .

time will tell whether it gets removed but I'm happy for now

      😊

Great that sounds good. Remember to keep at them if you are getting no response. It should not be like that but unfortunately that is the reality of it.

      Do keep in touch
