Severe symptoms after Iron infusion

My 11 year old daughter had an iron infusion on Tuesday and felt ok for 24 hours, then has been feeling generally yuck, nausea, fatigue, body pains. Tonight is waking through the night, arms weak, chest tight, fever, feeling like she will vomit... has anyone had a child feel similar post iron infusion and how long did symptoms last? I feel so sorry for her, we were hopeful that an iron infusion would help alleviate horrible symptoms of anaemia... thank you

    unfortunately i think symptoms can last awhile. i used venofer the last 4 yrs and never had a problem.. 3 weeks ago my dr put me with injectofer and ive never felt so awful in my life. nausea, dizzy, low blood pressure, almost fainting often, heart/chest pain anxiety like nobodies business. i didnt even do my second round afraid i might die. im still in bef a lot. i hope your daughter gets better... or is now after 7 weeks..ive read lots of comments on here and there are so many with this same issue. scary:(
