Severe tingling, burning + pain in both legs

Hi everyone,
I've been having severe tingling and pain in both my legs (toes, feet, calves and knees) for about seven months now. On running a few tests, I found six months ago that I was deficient in vitamins B12 and D, which was set right. The neurologist said my symptoms were due to the deficiency, however, the condition has steadily worsened in spite of the deficiency being rectified.
Here are the tests I've done:
Vitamin B12 and D: Levels stable for the last 4 months
Thyroid: Normal
Sodium, calcium, potassium: Normal
Iron: Normal
Bloodwork, ANA, dsDNA all normal.
Rheumatoid factor negative.
The pain is worse at night and while lying down. The docs have told me I've got Restless Leg Syndrome. I took Pregabalin for about a month and Ropinirole for ten days but both didn't help with the tingling - in fact the side effects were terrible.
I'm not on any medication as of now and the pain + tingling has worsened, now almost constant, like there's electricity shooting up my legs all the time. I'm unable to do anything physically exerting like climbing stairs. Walking makes my feet hurt terribly (which I believe is not the case in RLS?).
Does anyone have suggestions to confirm the diagnosis? Is there something I'm missing? I'm due for an LS MRI, but the docs have said it is most likely to come clear.
Thanks a ton!

How do you think your concoction helps?,does it speed up your
metabolism? And did someone recommend it to you?.
I am thinking of giving it a try as I'm at the stage of willing to try
anything.
Awaiting your reply.

The concoction was not recommended to me but I tried it after many hours of surfing the internet for some sort of relief that I was not getting from all the GP' s that I have seen. I also suffer from gout, hence the bicarb, but it's the best relief for the pain so far.

Turmeric itselt is a pain reliever. Maybe that's why his concoction helps.

I've been using a concoction that has turmeric in it. It didn't do anything for my nerve pain. Mine is Neuropathy.

Alot of trial and error with medications. And what works for one, doesn't work for another
I'm on Lyrica, oxycontin, and zoloft. And Dilauded for break through pain. This is the combo that works best for me. I have Autonomic Neuropathy. I pray you find some relief, the pain is horrid. I still have some pain, but not anything like it was!

Hi Susan,
Have you had any back surgery, any epidurals or spina taps, or menigitis? I have similar symptoms and have Arachnoiditis. I hope it isn't that for you, but it sounds similar.

Susan, all of the statins make my husband hurt terribly all over! My neighbor also has these issues with statins. My husband had to stop taking them. Something to research maybe. Best of luck this is no fun!!! 🍀🌷

Hi, please Tell me what side effects you had from Gabapentine? I m taking 6x100 per day for 3 month and I don't know what to expect. And I don't have the results that I was hoping. Too much pain and burning. Thank you, Mariana

Hi Mariana,
Gabapentin made me feel off balance, almost like vertigo.
I tried it for a two weeks and it never went away. So If you've been on it for a few months and have not side effects, I think you are lucky!'
I hope it is helping.

I'm just curious if you've taken an antibiotic in the past year. Now there are a few meds that are tearing the tendons in people's legs, and most doctors are unwilling to acknowledge this. Finally the CDC is stating that it's true.
Good luck

This next Fall,I'm going to have a nerve stimulator implanted in my lower back to help the neuropathy pain in my feet and toes !

I gained 30 pounds this last winter while on it!
I quit taking it because of the weight gain and it did NOTHING for my Neuropathy pain !
Good luck to you !!,
