Severe Tinnitus for 2 months now and my eardrums are in incredibly bad shape.

I (17M) woke up with severe tinnitus 2 months ago and I haven't been able to see a doctor due to the pandemic. I was tired of waiting so I bought an endoscope to see inside my ears myself and my ear drums do not look normal at all (See photos below).

A few notes:

I feel pressure in both ears

When I move my jaw or turn my head the tinnitus gets louder.

It crackles when I open my mouth and when swallowing.

I was prescribed antibiotics over the phone but they never worked.

My ears ache now and again.

There have been times where all of a sudden the tinnitus would spike incredibly loud and then slowly go down again over 30 seconds.

I have tried nasal sprays for congestion.

I have had similar problem for the last several weeks

Blocked ears for two weeks,I eventually found a ear wax removal specialist who was accepting patients at his home in his personal studio.

Great relief from that, but I still had ring in ears,I went back to him and he could see my Eustachian tubes was blocked,he told me to use nose decongestant and take hay fever tablets.

None of this worked, after four weeks I eventually rang 111,as my doctor just kept having phone conversations only and kept fobbing me off.

They actually told me to go to A&E ~ I played it up a bit by saying I really could not cope.

A&E wouldn't see me,but told me to go to minor injury hospital, which I did the same day,I got to see doctor who looked into my ear and said I've got fluid under the eardrum, which is also the reason my Eustachian tubes was blocked. The doctor gave me a prescription for strong antihistamines tablets and nose decongestant.

Three weeks later the noise from my ear is getting quieter and when I blow my nose it clears the blockage that cause noise, which I do several times a day,the only problem I have now is I get blocked up a bit over night and have to give my nose a good blow a few times when I get up.Hopefully I will soon get up and not have problem.

My advise is ring 111 and lay it on heavy,as noise in ear does do you in.Good luck!
