Do you use an all natural feminine wash for the vagina only?
Do you wear cotton panties?
Do you wash your panties separately from your othet clothes?
What does your diet consist of? Meaning, mostly processed food or mostly fruits and vegetables?
Are you drinking at least 2 liters of water a day?
Do you take any vitamins or probiotics?
Do you exercise regularly?

i do all of the above except for exercise because of my weight loss..and fear of sweating that might bring on bv

Penny, please try to stay positive. I know exactly what it's like to deal with bv. It is a ph imbalance. Try drinking warm lemon water or warm water with apple cider vinegar in the morning. Stay hydrated, watch out for carbs and sugars. Take a probiotic and multivitamin. Stay regular in the restroom department. Watch out for scented soaps. Yes to cotton panties. No to alcohol if you drink heavily. Try to get 20 minutes of vitamin D from sitting in the sun. Love yourself and take care of your body in these ways and see if it doesn't get better. Mine always comes back a little after a period but doesn't last long before it goes away. I experienced bv for the first time after childbirth. It happened with my 2nd child but not my first. It doesn't seem like it when you are dealing with it at the time and I know how frustrating it can be but you will get through this! Love and take care of yourself. Tell yourself positive things. Don't give up! Your body isn't broken it's just imbalanced and you can get it back to where it needs to be.

we all know that feeling all too well. dont let Bv keep you from living your life and especially dating. i know thats very hard and ive been embarrasing moments but i was able to find someone that was patient and understanding when i would go through depression due to the Bv. i had chronic bv for 4 years and have been Bv free now for almost a year now. what worked for me was i really attacked my bv lol so many vitamins and probiotics. i know alot medication seems to be temporary but i took my 7 days of the doctor prescribed antibiotic and started the Vh essentials vaginal suppository on day 6 and continued that for like 5 more days. at the time i was taking the vh essential pro & prebiotics with cranberry, multivitamin, vitamin D, garlic suppliment, acidophilus pill. i no longer think about bv which is strange when i think about how much it use to consume my life. you can get past this! there is hope for us woman keep your head up.

Hi Penny,
I had chronic BV for 8 months. Mine kept coming back because I was using a bidet that wasn't sterile. I was inadvertently spraying myself with bacteria water making it the perfect environment for BV bacteria to thrive. Once I stopped using the bidet, and changed my hand held shower head to be on the safe side, it stopped. I still have odor sometimes, but it's not a BV infection. It's external odor from sweat. I use Lume cream, which is a deodorant for private parts. It works like a charm.
Good luck!

hi 4 years I've tried antibiotics cream and pills nothing works.
I brought a few dresses the weekend and then I realised I can't wear them incase I'm having a bad BV day.
I'm single 36 I can't begin to start to look for a partner.
BV is ruling my whole life now.
my sofa can smell on my period or it's a extreme BV day .
BV gels nothing works .
I'm going to buy multi vitamins and check out some things that have helped others .
my doctor said you're not dirty I said I friggin feel like a dirty pros or something.
men doctors dont bother with .
are you in a relationship?
how old are you ?
where you from ?
its just we sound like we're both at the same point .

i wrote you a long message but for some reason they wont post it..i am from the US...i am 32..and yes im currently in a relationship..we have to be extremely careful when we are intimate (shower before/after..hypoallergenic condoms ..aloe vera lube) he is understanding..i do well at hiding the smell though..and i wont have sex with him if its a bad bv day...i still think eventually he will get tired of it and leave or get turned off one day by the smell..but i cant live my life in doubt..it consumes me..so i just try to take it a day at a time

hi again .
yes I'd like to talk to someone in the same boat .
after reading many posts yours stood out because I'm at the same position.
only difference is I'm single .
I finished another course of antibiotics 2 days ago and I was BV free the smell went but I'm not as stupid to think its magically gone lol.
Then yesterday morning before having a bath my pants was BV soaked again
i could cry and i have cried
I've to have a bath and straight after I get in the shower just because in the bath I can't now use dove soap in the water so I get a shower to wash my body properly.
its a exhausting and expensive process that I see no light at the end of the tunnel .
you're brave being sexually active I'd rather never have sex again lol I'm serious laughing a side .
i suppose my exes would of been good but it wouldn't matter I'd be so self conscious I'd cringe if they touched me in that spot.
one girl on here was saying she still has oral and i thought wow that's amazing because when i was BV clean i was always paranoid about oral sex .
i suppose that's how my BV started on and off for 10 years I cleaned myself way to much I'd use body butter down there and baby wipes or wet wipes .
How did your journey begin ?
what have you tried
thanks for replying x

man. i went threw a whole lot to register JUST to answer this post! I had the Mirena IUD for almost 5 years. For 4 years i had CHRONIC BV. literally nothing worked. i started scouring all kinds of blogs and post and here is what i finally found worked for me personally. I took acidopholius pills orally and vaginally inserted vitamin C with rosehips every night for 1 week and that crap was gone! now i use that maybe one night every few months when something feels off. if you feel it going the other direction into a yeast infection, boric acid suppositeries are life!!! i hope this helps! it was seriously the only thing that helped me!!
