Decreased sensation after surgery for a few months but I had return within 6 months and within a year about 95% with only a numb patch in my right foot. Time will tell. Dont give up, it also strongly depends on how quickly your surgery was performed after symptoms of CES appeared and how much nerve damage was done. Mine was done within 24 hour window.

Unfortunately, I still have numbness in my lady parts too on the outside, and I am post op year and a half. I still have numbness in my butt and left leg and food. They caught my CES and was able to have me in surgery within 4 hours of MRI because the nerve damage was so advanced. Surgeon gave me approval to have a baby and now have a 10 week old son. Pregnancy was not bad, hurts more now than while I was pregnant. Only change was the addition of numbness in the front of my left thigh while I was pregnant. Also had a little less sensation in my uterus while pregnant which we believe was nerve damage but was in no way putting the baby in harms way. I did have a c-section though to keep the trauma to my back to a minimum. When I had my CES surgery they did not fuse, just removed the entire disk, and that is how it remains right now. Good luck, hope this was of some help. Don't give up hope though. Being out of the pain I was in pre-op is so much better now even with the numbness.

I was 40 years old when had my ces surgery in October 2013. Beginning 4 months were tough but it started settling down after 6 months, I got my sexuality back by April. It is not the same as before but I hve a very understanding husband who doesn't let me feel that I'm not the same. I do Aqua fit exercises that has been helping me out a lot, I've had 80% recovery so far but it's improving with time. Be positive, eat healthy and exercise, I've been drinking turmeric herb with milk every night before bed that has helped me a lot with inflamation and pain. I eat healthy, exercise, keep my wait off and stay positive, it's been all good so far.
