Shakey, wobbly, trembly? Just want to feel like ME again.

Can anyone identify with this?...

In recent weeks I've been waking every morning (and sometimes in the night too) with a trembly feeling inside my stomach and tingling, fullness and slight trembling in both of my arms. I have adrenalin surges too where I wake up suddenly with a start. I also have neck, shoulder and upper back aching. I've read that these 'internal shakes' can be part of peri but I'm having a panic today thinking it's something worse.

When I get up in the morning my body feels like jelly, I get tingly feelings and cold flushes and I've been having anxiety, low mood and panic attacks too. Sometimes I feel spacey and just not part of the world, so on edge.

Has anyone else had any of these symptoms? I'm feeling alone wth it today.

I know I'm in perimenopause because I have other symptoms but these symptoms are so new and strange and the anxiety and low mood have been overwhelming and made me feel like a different person.

Does anyone else feel like they have kind of lost themselves?

Sorry if that sounds weird. I'm just having a challenging day with all this. I get so anxious about more serious causes and that makes it all worse.

I'm taking vits and St John's Wort and the occasional valium when I get really panicky. It's helped quite a bit but I still don't feel 'normal'. I just want to feel like ME again.

Hi maria.. Am really happy that u feel better.. I've read all the posts in this page as I have most of the ladies symptoms while am 29 years old! Through my life I have almost a regular period but with sever pain on the first days. However, almost 3 months ago.. I had sever hair loss and felt my hormones are not really doing well. A took a herb capsule called Shatavari for almost one month.. Then I stoped it.. Gradually I developed a feeling of detachment from my surroundings.. Like I was floating or dreaming.. Then I started to gain weight rapidly.. And fluid retention occure.. My belly.. My face.. My eyes all where swollen.. My hair continues to fall.. I developed severe anxiety and panic attacks.. I woke up in the morning panicking from the moment I open my eyes.. Like a disaster will happen out of no where.. I used to be very social and funny but then I was not able to do a simple conversation.. My job is very challenging as am working for 12 hours a day.. And with those symptoms its really hard.. I tried to explain to my supervisor but he did not understand and kept pushing me to the edge.. Now am on my annual leave but keep thinking how I will manage when I go back.. Am searching for a new job but it might take time to find one.. Every one is trying to push me to take antidepressant but am still hoping to find the root cause.. I started to adjust my life style and diet to go more natural.. I took vitamin B and fish oil.. Before yesterday i did hormones test and am waiting for the results.. Although I dont know what is next as the only treatment here is contraceptive bills which is a night mare to me.. Am still single and sometimes I feel like how I will fit in a relationship with this anxiety and panic attacks lol.. Anyways thanks alot gurls for all your inspiring posts

Me again do you get the hot flashes because I think while your sleeping hormones doing all kinds of things to you and by the time you wake up it then hits you then you have to jump out of bed Lol.

I know this is an old post, but I was wondering if anyone else gets the morning jitters? They sometimes can happen during the day too but mostly it's in the morning when I get up and start moving around. Very annoying LOL

Yes, I used to have this very extreme when I first woke up. Best thing to do is to get moving even though you don't feel like it. The more you move and keep your mind occupied, the better you will feel and the less it will happen. Feel better.

Hi Maria, just wondering how long did the shaking and tremors etc last for you roughly?

Hi deirdre, not long space out in between the years I guess more in early peri and not so much now but I don't trust meno always seem to be turn up like a bad penny when it dies down..everyone is different with timing, if your now going through it bear with it because it's TEMPRARY not for life.

Maria, I'm in peripure, my nightmare began about 3 yrs ago. I had pin prick needle sensations all over my body and hot sweats.I was only 32 but I was on birth control at the time and my doctor suggested changing it bit nevee said why so I just came off it...... within a month I was suffering chest pains, anxiety, off balance, incredible fatigue and reflux and a year kater the skakes and tremors started. Its been very difficult but finding others like me has helped. How about yoi? Are you in peri?

Yes I'm late peri menopause periods finish in a few weeks time reaching mild stone..its shame in Post you still go through it, I get acid reflux and off balance on and off, hot flashes but mild,at night hot sometimes, I'm sleeping better then I was times that Fear/Anxiety wait good till go to bed and attack me and wouldn't let me sleep such cruel symptom for anyone to experience..just have to see how it's going to go next year had enough f the CRAP.

Ooh no,sounds awful. May I ask how many years you have been going through it? I hate feeling like crap too. Its hard to feel normal.

Well from the time my periods start to change that was 47 years old but the symptoms came in when I turn 50 years old I'm now 55 years old  so I would say 9 years altogether but 5 years of crap and as I Said no as bad as I was thank God..do you get heart palpitations at night it takes off like a airplane till it stop I guess I got use too it these symptoms but still afraid when they return...when I think back to when I first went through it I don't know how I got through it because my mum was terminally ill at the time and it was stressful and I had to get on with it and look after her as well through out her hospital visits and stay in I was at the height of it...at the funeral it was bad for me but I didn't with my sister she was laid to rest the stress f that hold up and I concentrate on feeling better and at peace..so now look forward to post meno fruitful years, and you will too you must not worry get on your knees and tell God he listens and he will answer your prayers.
