Shaking and anxiety on 8 mg pred

I have been on 8 mg pred for the last 3 weeks and have started shaking and getting agitated and restless again.  My head is also whirling, it is difficult to sit still and relax.  Has anyone had the same problem and any suggestions to help me please ?

    Perhaps you decrease too fast ?  3 weeks later, I decreased at 16.25 mg, I felt very bad psychologically (depression, panic disorder with fear of losing control). I was scared! I finally rose to 17.5 mg telling me that I might be decreased too fast.  After rose up to 17.7 mg I felt much better.

      Hi Karyjo.  I am glad you are feeling better on your extra pred dose.  I have been on 8 mg for over 3 weeks now and don't get a lot of pain or stiffness.  It is the fatigue which I think is due to the PMR, and the side effects of the pred which seem to be causing my problems.  I must be patient like everyone else and take one day at a time.  I hope you continue to do well.
