Hi

i could really do with some advide or help.

ive always suffered with anxitey and can go through bad phases, this seems to be the worse one yet i always worry about my health

in the summer i found a lump in my neck

Convinced myself it was lymphoma after having all the checks I don’t think I have cancer.

Then after that I got Covid wasn’t massively ill but convinced myself I was going to get phnemonia and be on a ventilator and die, after I got over that I had a pain in my stomach I went to the hospital thinking it was appendix it obviously wasn’t just a infection and given antibiotics, but was sure I had bowel cancer

Then I started getting pains in my legs and pins and needles I was convinced I had a blood clot and it was travelling to my lung, for the past two weeks why all this has been going on I’ve noticed I’m shaking all the time and vibrating so now I’m convinced I have motor nuro disease, I didn’t sleep last night crying about it that I have to leave my children behind and they will have to see me get worse.

I am desperately trying to tell myself this is anxiety but I’m also telling myself that my nervous system is failing.

I’m constantly shaking legs and arms and hands and when I’m lay down it’s vibrating, has anyone has this with anxiety? Can this happen.

I’ve been to the doctor so much recently I don’t think he will even take me serious. It’s hard to not think about it as everything I do I can see and feel shaking! 😦 xxx

yeah it is defo anxiety when my anxiety flares up I shake allover and when laying in bed my whole body moves honestly it's anxiety its crazy how anxiety can make us feel and the amount of symptoms it can cause is endless. that's a long time to wait when you are suffering isn't it 😢 I'm currently waiting on a fone call back from my doctor about changing my medication after 13 + years being on it so I'm dreading it when I do have to but I've said to my doctor I'll go into residential care as I get really bad side effects on and off medication xx

Sophie anxiety can definitely cause shaking and vibration .I know that because I’ve been through it numerous times over many years. i’ve had anxiety since childhood and it all came to a head in my late 20s . I developed sudden Sensations and I told my parents I thought I had MS. numbness and tingling, vibration in my head, arms, legs, floaters in my eyes, ringing in my ears, shortness of breath, muscle twitching, plus many more. all my testing was normal.

Throughout the years when I would get anxious I would get some of these symptoms back but they don’t scare me anymore because I know that anything related to anxiety is not harmful even though it can be scary.

what happens is that when you tell yourself that you have a particular serious condition, you are telling your brain the same thing so the brain will respond by sending out all of those sensations. The worst thing you can do is keep feeding this idea to yourself because then these sensations won’t stop. You need to reverse the way you think about this because remember the doctor said that there’s nothing wrong.

the shaking feeling happens because your muscles get tense with anxiety and shaking can occur or muscle twitching. I suggest that you calm down your mind as much as you can, do some long slow deep breathing, take a nice warm bath, listen to some great meditations for anxiety and breathing found on YouTube . also listen to some videos and how to think more positively because that has a great impact on reversing this! Remember that whatever we think about regularly will grow whether it’s positive or negative. I had to learn that and I wasted so many years with fear. Not worth it!

So anxiety can definitely cause vibrations and many more sensations. Don’t fear it. Just acknowledge that it’s taking place in a calm way and focus on something else right away. You have to be relentless. Take care of yourself ❤

My god I have the same weird sensations all over my body. I was certain I had als or ms and was dying.. How were you able to "train" your brain not to panic whenever an anxiety flare pops up? I've tried distracting myself, doing other things, but it doesn't help 90% of time.. It's amazing how you were able to beat this ❤️

Hello! As someone that suffers with health anxiety brought on by PTSD of a medical event, my guess would definitely be that this is anxiety! I struggle with cardiophobia at the minute and anything like a fast heart rate or a skipped heartbeat is enough to send me into a massive panic attack, where the aftermath is symptoms just like this! I have to agree, living with this kind of thing is extremely frightening, as you truly are convinced that something is wrong, and this heightened state of awareness makes you notice sensations you may not have noticed before! Best wishes!
