When my symptoms hit big time in the beginning I first had those wobbly legs, or felt like they were stuck in mud, but I think I might've been having an anxiety attack.I also felt like I couldn't breathe, like someone was sitting on my back. Didn't know what was happening back then, I just knew that I was melting down and getting really really ill. And then I would get the shakes really bad. Not just internal tremors like so many have, but actual shakes where you could see my body shaking. It was awful. I'd even wake up in the middle of the night shaking. If you read some of my old posts from long ago you will see where I describe myself like a shaky old 90 year old, my husband used to help me from the sofa to the tub. I had also lost 30 pounds, so was really skinny too. My life just fell apart, worse time ever. Of course this was just a few of the symptoms, there were so many others. It did take over a year, maybe 18 months until things started calming down a bit. Every now and then I will feel a little shaky, and that will coincide with my burning feet, but nothing visible anymore. I still feel pretty rotten, but overall so much better than I was back then. I really thought I was going to die. No way did I ever think hormones could make you feel this bad.
Someone mentioned about doctors always asking about libido. It's like libido and hot flashes are the only things that are associated with meno as far as doctors are concerned. Although I saw that the bbc is doing a special on meno. Maybe they will talk about more than libido????
Hope you start feeling better soon.

Hi Lori. Sorry to hear that you too are experiencing this awful syptom. I've been suffering for 18 months from various symptoms. My fingers twitch like crazy and I my entire body feels shaky. I still occasionally get "wobbly legs syndrome" and shocks throughout my body. I suffer from insomnia now and I've noticed that it makes the other symptoms worse when I've had little to no sleep. Now that the nights are so incredibly warm, my hot flushes are stopping me from getting any sleep. I feel tired all day but at night I'm wide awake and average about 2-3 hours sleep. All the best and try to see your Dr if you need reassurance.

Yes I had that too last October up at 4.30 am unable to get back to sleep . I begged the dr and he gave me olanzapine good sleeping medication doesn’t make you groggy but put me back on track .
Also the medical marijuana chocolate helps knocks me out and if you can get really helps .

Hi Lori. Thanks for the advice, much appreciated. I am so desperate that I would try anything. Doctors do not like prescribing sleeping tablets and repeatedly recommend meditation, having a bath or reading before bedtime and speaking to a therapist about my anxiety. Someone on this forum also mentioned using magnesium glycinate and cannabis oil for insomnia. I would love to know if this has helped anyone suffering from chronic insomnia. Thanks and take care. 🌺💐🌻
