Must interrupt your much needed sleep. I get them as well on occasion mostly at night. And tylenol doesn't touch it. I am 5 months post op. Worse after an active day.

My Physio. said it was weak muscles healing. My Primary care said it was because the surgeon had to rearrange ligaments etc after years of injury. The surgeon said "I had to do allot of work in there it was worse than I thought. I don't think any of them know they just throw something at you rather than admit their not knowing the cause. It is getting better not as often.

I am 5 weeks post-op and get sharp pains usually at night. Makes sense what they told you might be causing it. I hope they stop for you. I don't get them as bad as yours sound.
