Sharp pain in chest

Hi all,

I have pretty bad anxiety and all today I have been getting a quick sharp pain which feels like it is exactly where my heart is.

I had an ekg when I went to ER when I thought I was having a heart attack on MDMA which is what triggered my whole anxiety. And they said I was fine.

I just want to know if people get the same cheats pains as me. Thanks

Yes.  After a lot of anxiety, I feel chest pains.  Usually sharp pains along with tense and stiff muscles.

This isn't exactly after an anxiety attack. It just seems to happen randomly.

It doesn't necessarily have to be after, or during.  It just sort of happens as art of the process.

Yea I used to get Striking/Stabbing sudden chest pains and painful heart palpitations. Saw like 8 doctors and been to ER many times... Everything was normal. Anxiety chest pain is usually causes by over breathing or tense muscles or too much adrenaline. Youtube how to stretch your chest and also try to monitor your breathing.. If you find your hyperventilating then you have to start doing intense exercise to reset your breathing pattern.. Also Meditation breathing exercises can help. Also magnesium and Stress B complex vitamins can help. Stay away from Salt and Sugars and any Stimulants like marijuana, caffein ect. That will make it worse. Most importantly.. Just know that your fine since the ER said your fine. If you worry too much it will get worse.

      Hi heat,

Thank you for your reply. I am starting to believe it is muscle tension because almost every time I get a chest pain I am able to stretch it out.

Your pains are quite normal if you have Anxiety.

Have you worked out when you feel this pain ?
