Sharp pain in the heart area while and after running for 3 consecutive days.

So I am an 18 year old male in relatively good health (above average) and I ahve been running once or twice a week for the past 2 years now.

2 days ago, I went running and towards the end of my run (25 minutes in), I started having a very intense pain in my chest exactly where my heart is located. I still finished my run without slowing down because I thought that the pain was only due to the fact that I was making a cardiovascualr effort and that it would go away as I catched up my breath, but it did not. It decreased (went from unbearable to sharp) in the following hour but it reached a sort of plateau which I have been experiencing for the past 43 hours.

I am quite concerned as I was convinced I was about to have a heart attack. Should I worried and go see a doctor or wait a couple more days and see if the pain fades away? Also, it might be important to mention that I smoke cannabis moderately.

    Sorry for the typos.

Any chest pain should be investigated I believe, better sure than sorry. Highly unlikely at 18 you could have heart problems, but you never know.

I would make an appointment with my family doctor. If he/she wants you to see a cardiologist, they will let you know. Any pain should always be investigated.
