Sharp pain under knee cap

Hi Everyone

For the last week I've had sharp pain under my knee cap on a tkr that's 15 wks p/o.

Pain is most noticeable when I lay down. It's kept me up most of night even with a vicadin. What could this pain mean? My healing, walking, flexion and the other one- word escapes me- are all great.

Got me worried a bit.

    Hi Elaine

Dont know what could be causing this.  Sounds like nerve pain.

Hopefully Old Fat Guy will be able to help.

You would think you would be on the home straight at  15 weeks!

Sounds like a trip to doc is on the cards though.

Hopefully it is nothing too bad.

    Fingers crossed for you.

    Best wishes

    Ann

Sounds like nerve pain to me, too.  Laying down puts pressure in different places to standing and sitting.

Try sleeping with a pillow either under your knee if you sleep on your back or between your knees if you sleep on your side

Thank you, Sueisobel. That's a great idea. Will let you know tomorrow if it worked.
